New-look pub to join in festival

A PUB, due to reopen next month, will join the seventh Welland Valley Beer Festival this summer.
The festival committee will meet at Seaton’s George and Dragon pub on Monday at 8.30pm but already reports considerable interest in the annual event.

The latest pubs to sign up is the Marquess of Exeter in Lyddington, which will take part for the first time, making a total of eight pubs in the festival, which takes place over the weekend of June 12, 13 and 14.

A fleet of heritage buses has been booked to take visitors to all the locations on Saturday June 13 with connections at Market Harborough bus and rail stations.

Over 100 real ales and ciders will be showcased with traditional pub food and live entertainment and accommodation available.
