The peace and tranquillity of Rutland Water will be shattered when the Marie Curie Cancer Care dragon boat race returns for another year on Sunday, September 14.
Organisers are urging locals to join the event which is raising money for the cancer charity.

Teams will race across the water at Whitwell Creek accompanied by the all important drummer who sets the rhythm for the oars. It promises to be a great day out for competitors and spectators.

The entry fee is £250 with a minimum sponsorship of £700 per team of up to 16 people.

The event takes place on Sunday September 14 from 10am until 4pm at Whitwell Creek. Contact the fundraising office on (01604) 442312 for a registration form.
