Castle hosts fun activities for all the family to enjoy

FUN events are taking place throughout next week to celebrate National Family Week.
From Monday 25th Rutland County Museum is hosting a family portrait competition with mums, dads and children invited to go along and draw their family portrait which will hang in the museum for a week.

Artists of the best portrait will receive a f
amily ticket to the open-air Wind in the Willows theatre show planned for Sunday June 21 at Oakham Castle.

On Wednesday, May 27, Oakham Library is hosting a family event packed full of stories and craft activities for children up to nine years old.

Admission is free and parents are welcome to stay and join in.

And on Sunday, May 31, there will be a family fun day and picnic at Oakham Castle between midday and 4pm.

Entry is £10 per family and there are lots of activities planned including crafts, brain teasers, sports and party games.

There will also be another chance to win a family ticket for Wind in the Willows.
