The latest concert in the Music in Lyddigton series on Saturday, September 6, is a special treat for anyone with Scottish connections.
The concert, under the title Music of the Scottish Enlightenment is a first opportunity for anyone south of the border to hear the highly regarded Musicians of Edinburgh.

They will be performing the songs of Robert Burns and others in the concert at St Andrew's Church, Lyddington at 7.30pm.

The Musicians of Edinburgh are Geoffrey Davidson, baritone, Sharon Lindo, violin and Jeremy Barlow, harpsichord.

The concert is presented and compiled by David Johnson.

The Musicians of Edinburgh is a group of expert Scottish musicians, brought together to make two Burns' CDs.

The recordings were acclaimed for their cutting-edge approach and for Burns' songs for the first time in this way.

Tickets for Saturday's concert are £12 in advance (students £2) and can be booked at www.musicinlyddington.rutnet.co.uk from Jo Harrison, 01572 820017.
Tickets on the door (if available) will cost £14 (students £2)
