The Rotary Club of Rutland's annual bluebell walk takes place on Sunday May 11around the Hambleton Peninsula at Rutland Water.
The event has been going for more than 30 years and is a major fundraiser in the organisation's calendar.
This year money raised will go towards the Rutland branch of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The organisers are appealing for more people to t
ake part.
Rotarian Malcolm Mann said: "Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and campaign for better cancer care.
"Already, thanks to the generosity of local residents, nearly £500 has been donated in collections held outside Tesco and in the Market Place in Oakham."
The walk is about 10 miles around the Hambleton Peninsula and is supported by Anglian Water. It starts from the Rutland County Council offices in Oakham with registration between 9 and 11am on Sunday May 11.
Refreshments are available along the route and walkers are welcome to bring their dogs on leads.
Malcom added: "We are encouraging as many people as possible to make a note in your diaries, get out in the fresh air, get some exercise and at the same time help a worthwhile cause. A little effort on their part can make such a difference to others."
Sponsorship forms are available from A&P Breeze in High Street, Oakham, Simmons Optometrists in Burley Road, Oakham, Baines Bakery in Uppingham or from Roger Cooke on (01780) 460572.
