I would like to express sincere thanks to the organisers of the Oakham Parade and Fun Day for their tremendous hard work in co-ordinating a fantastic array of events and entertainment.
Being a past member of the Parade and Fun Day Organising Committee, I know how much background and effort goes into providing such a colourful, fun-filled, varied and entertaining afternoon ... and this year's proved to be another roaring success enjoyed by everyone who attended. It was a bonus that the weather held until the closing stages.

Unfortunately, other commitments have taken me off the OP&FD committee, though I still try to assist whenever I can.

New members are needed – so if you have some spare time, are enthusiastic and community minded, or have administration, fundraising, organisation, publicity or researching skills, your input would be welcomed. Next year's event will be discussed in the coming months and ideas are being formed already.

Again, many thanks to those dedicated stalwarts.

Anyone interested in joining the committee please contact Maureen Dodds OP&FD Chair on (01572) 723434.
