We would like to urge as many of your readers as possible to attend one of the open consultation meetings where they will be able to hear for themselves the options for the future of The Parks provision and be part of the decision-making process.
As many of your readers will know The Parks School is a special place; a school for young children aged 2 to 6 years with a range of special educational needs.

In addition The Parks incorporates a family centre which supports children and young people up to 19 years and their families.

Many Rutland children have learned to swim in our pool, many have attended the weekly 'One o'clock Club' or the Sunflowers Group. Our outreach team may have worked with your local primary school to support your child's learning.

The Parks is an outstanding provision with a skilled and dedicated team.

We need your voice in the consultation to ensure that the quality of the provision and services will not be lost.

Please try to attend the meeting at the Town Hall, Uppingham, Tuesday September 9 from 2 to 4pm and the Council Chamber, Rutland County Council, Oakham on Monday September 15 from 6.30 to 8.30pm.

If you have any questions please ring the school on (01572) 756747

Joanne Beaver
Chair of Governors
The Parks School,
Barleythorpe Rad,
Oakham
