Thanks to paramedics
In May 2007, a month after passing my driving test, a fellow motorist ploughed into the side of me, writing off my (dad's) car and temporarily knocking me unconscious, before careering away without bothering to stop.
I was fortunate enough to have an ambulance arrive within a few minutes and the two paramedics that arrived were so kind and helpful.
They made me feel totally at ease and even got me laughing through my tears in the back of the ambulance.
I tried to track them down to thank them by calling the ambulance service, but no-one could tell me their names.
I now know who they are, because within two weeks of each other (over a year after the incident) they were both featured in local publications.
So, thank you Lee Hatfield and Steve Tummon – you are complete stars and provide an invaluable service within the community. It is comforting to know that if any of us are ever in need, people like yourselves will be there to look after us. Thank you
