A YOUNG boy was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after he suffered an allergic reaction.
The air ambulance arrived at Exton 17 minutes after the seven-year-old's family dialled 999 where the crew found he had breathing problems and a rash.

Medics from the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance gave the youngster drugs at the scene to help his breathing and he was then taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary with his mother.

The air ambulance costs £1.5million each year to keep flying and is funded entirely by public donations.
