Rutland Times readers are being offered the chance to quiz the force's police chief
Chief Constable of Leicestershire Constabulary, Matt Baggott will visit Oakham later this month for a private meeting with county councillors, parish chairs and town mayors.

But Barrie Roper, the organiser of the meeting, wants Rutlanders to put forward their questions to Mr Baggott, whose answers will be printed in the paper.

He will answer questions about local policing issues and how they fit into wider police responsibilities.

Mr Roper, who is vice chairman of Leicestershire Police Authority and a Rutland county councillor, said: "Some people have genuine concerns about policing issues and this is a good opportunity to ask questions."

Assistant chief constable Chris Eyre will also be at the meeting. It takes place on November 26.
