A brand new nursery is set to open its doors in Stamford in the next couple of months, offering parents and their children a ‘home from home’ experience.
The vision of two mothers, Victora Banfield and Emma Altham, The Little Lane Nursery in Silver Lane, Stamford, will aim to offer quality care for a small number of children in a homely environment.
Catering for babies and children, from six weeks old to five years, the new nursery will feature a baby’s room with its own secret garden, a toddlers room, pre-school room and a sleeping/sensory room which features bubble lamps, specialist nursery beds and a ceiling full of lights.
Victoria Banfield, who is a mother of two, has been delighted with the feedback and support, both her and Emma have received so far, she said: “This all just started out as a simple conversation and the idea has grown into this beautiful nursery. My background is in insurance, so this is a totally new experience for me. Emma has worked and trained in childcare, so she is extremely passionate about the job.”
As both parents of children at nursery age, Victoria and Emma feel that they have a unique insight into what parents want and need from a nursery.
A great selling point for the nursery is its six seater walking wagon, an ‘amazing’ piece of kit which will allow the nursery to take the children out around the town on trips, including to the Meadows.
