A new commercial property agency has been launched this week serving Rutland, Cambridgeshire and south Lincolnshire.
Cross Shires Commercial Ltd, currently based in Rutland, has been set up by Simon Parsons, to offer specialist knowledge combined with a wealth of experience to commercial property developers and occupiers.
Cross Shires Commercial Ltd (www.crossshires.co.uk) has been established with local developers and occupiers in mind.
Simon Parsons said he strongly believes that there is a good opportunity to offer a service through the various towns in these counties as agency services are changing in the commercial sector.
He said gone are the days of clients just wishing to know if their property can be sold or let. Clients are now keen to understand the future development potential and shorter term alternatives to achieving value.
Simon Parsons added: “I’m delighted to have launched this new business. I see it as a natural progression from the work I do on behalf of clients within my existing Consultancy business.
“The commercial development market is under pressure to look at new areas of opportunity and this includes local markets – particularly for industrial and warehouse opportunities.
“There is a lack of modern office accommodation in towns like Oakham, where small but successful businesses are located. We will be seeking to bring new inward investment into the county and will look to develop small office and industrial units that will be available freehold.”
Mr Parsons is passionate about this area of the market and said: “We are also seeing growing pressures for residential development and brownfield sites and this is where Cross Shires comes into its own with significant experience in delivering similar projects involving change of use to residential.”
Part of the services offered by Cross Shires Commercial Ltd will include assisting clients to find suitable property for their business or as an investment.
It will work alongside, Parsons Estate Consultancy (www.parsons-estateconsultancy.co.uk), founded more than five years ago. This will enable clients to tap into a larger knowledge base and will ensure that clients are given the appropriate level of service to meet their objectives.
Mr Parsons ultimately plans on relocating the business to Peterborough in order to establish the business in modern office accommodation in a good central location.
