Uppingham starts Fairtrade bid

A TOWN has made the first steps towards getting Fairtrade status.

Uppingham Town Partnership is to conduct an audit of Fairtrade trading within the town to establish whether it would be possible to be given Fairtrade status.

In order to receive Fairtrade status the town must meet a strict criteria including selling at least four Fairtrade product ranges from food to clothing.
