CCTV of the man police want to question about the theft of two bicycles from Rutland Cycling in Whitwell

POLICE have issued images of a man they want to question after two bikes were stolen from a hire shop.

Two men pretended to hire a silver and black Scott Spark 28ER a white Trek Fuel EX7 mountain bike from Rutland Cycling in Whitwell between 10am and 4.10pm on Sunday.

But before staff could take their details they left without paying, taking the two bikes worth thousands of pounds with them.

One of the suspects is described as a white man aged 35 to 45, 5ft 9in tall and of medium build. He was wearing glasses, a dark baseball cap, dark coat with fur-lined hood, dark trousers and black and white trainers.

The second suspect is also white and about 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, maroon hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Police have issued CCTV images of a man they wish to question in relation to the theft.
