A CEMENT company has paid for a school field to be reseeded after pupils missed out on sports day last term due to dangerous conditions.

Children at Ketton Primary School have been unable to use the school playing field for months because there were a lot of stones and very little top soil on it, making it dangerous.

But thanks to the generosity of Hanson Cement in Ketton they have had the field replanted and all of the rocks and stones removed.

Joint headteacher Mandy Rogers said: “We were overwhelmed by Hanson Cement’s generosity. It was a huge thing and a fantastic gift.

“It would have been a substantial cost to us.

“Thank you to Kent Stuehmer and Cliff Daly from Hanson Cement and Rob Mills for doing the work.”
