The festive event, will offer visitors the chance to do some valuable Christmas shopping around the town, amongst the festive foray of stalls, street entertainers and a funfair.

Many of the shops will be keeping their doors open on the night and will be getting into the Christmas spirit by offering special deals and tempting treats to encourage you through the door.

The shops will also be looking to add some festive sparkle to be in the chance of winning Oakham in Bloom’s Best Christmas Window Display Competition.

Children can also be in with a chance of winning a fantastic goody bag if they can spot all the horseshoes hidden in the shop windows.

Oakham Town Partnership is running the competition, which will start during the late-night shopping event. There are 14 horseshoes to be found and forms can be picked up and dropped off at Rutland Toys and Dance Boutique.

Oakham Town Council is also hosting a tree competition this year and has invited all five of Oakham’s primary schools to take part. See the trees up close on the night and cast a vote in the special ballot box.
