CHURCHES joined together for a prayer breakfast last Saturday.

All of the churches in Oakham were well represented at the Churches Together event in the Victoria Hall.

More than 100 people enjoyed a light breakfast of bacon sandwiches and cereal provided by women from Oakham Baptist Church, which was followed by a presentation from Baroness Elizabeth Berridge.

She talked about the value of praying together and the Kainos Community at Stocken Prison which she works with.

The meeting was chaired by Father Stephen Dye from St Joseph’s Catholic Church and ended with group prayers.

Oakham Churches Together was extremely pleased with the turnout and the representation from all churches.
