Motorcyclist, 59, dies after crash with car in Stretton Road, Greetham
A MOTORCYCLIST involved in a crash with a car has died.
The 59-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after his yellow Honda Fireblade bike collided with a red Volvo S60 in Stretton Road, Greetham, at 9.05am on Sunday.
He suffered serious chest, pelvis and leg injuries in the crash and died yesterday (Wednesday) at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
The man has not yet been named by police.
Detective Constable Pete Davies, who is investigating the incident, said: “The Honda was travelling from the direction of Stretton towards Greetham within a group of five other motorcycles and the Volvo was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision happened on the outskirts of Greetham village.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen either the Honda or the Volvo prior to the collision.”
The Volvo driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
