Safety warning after firework blaze

A stray firework is thought to have started a blaze which destroyed a car and trailer tent.

Firefighters were called out to the scene in Priory Road, Manton, on Sunday night at 9.45pm where the parked car, tent and garage were alight.

The car and trailer tent were completely destroyed and there was moderate damage to the garage.

Firefighter Greg Shelton has issued a warning for anyone holding a fireworks party this week to make sure they are in a safe, open space before lighting them and to inform their neighbours.
