Second arson at derelict building in Oakham
POLICE are investigating after the second arson at a derelict building in two months.
Fire crews were called to Lonsdale House in Barleythorpe Road, Oakham, at about 2.50pm on Saturday after a fire in the building was reported.
There was fire and smoke damage caused to the former boarding house, which is owned by Tresham College and is next to the current Rutland County College site.
Crews had been called to the house two months ago for a similar incident. Both were started deliberately.
Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 101.
