Two injured in Ashwell crash
TWO people were taken to hospital after their cars crashed in Whissendine Road, Ashwell on Friday.
Firefighters from Oakham, police and paramedics attended the scene at about 4.20pm.
The road was closed while the cars were made safe by the fire service.
A male casualty was taken to Peterborough General Hospital for treatment and a female casualty was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary. It is not known how serious their injuries are.
The road was reopened about 20 minutes after the accident.
