About 170 rainbows, brownies and guides from Oakham, Cottesmore, Whissendine and Edith Weston spent a day at Cadbury World.

First there was a tour through the centre with various samples of chocolate and then a visit to see Father Christmas, followed by a pantomime and then a visit to the Chocolate Adventure and 4D film shows.

To finish off the day they had time to play on the playground and visit the shop.

The original plan by the organisers Frances Willows and Yvonne Rawlings was take two guiding units and had proved such a popular idea, that soon other units wanted to take part as well.

Thanks go to Starline Coaches of Melton Mowbray and Ausden Clark Coaches of Leicester. It was a very busy day for all.
