I write to you from a rather chilly North Pacific, in the final few hundred miles of this stage of my London2London: Via the World journey.
While I am alone out here I feel very well supported by folks from around the world, not least Rutlanders.
It is always very motivating to receive messages of support from home and I am every grateful for the support shown to me by local individuals and sponsoring businesses such as Rutland Watersports/Anglian Water, Rutland Cycling, Greet-ham Valley Hotel, Golf and Conference Centre, Barnsdale Lodge, Sturgess Motor Group, Vinnie's Vinyl Signs, Rutland Trust, Oakham Memorial Institute and the Stamford Endowed Schools.
Many thanks for your continued support - it is warmly appreciated miles out to sea!
I am proud to hail from our little county and call myself a Rutlander – of the world.
All the best.
