CRICKET: Broad tastes defeat for a third time in India

It was another day to forget for Stuart Broad and the other members of the England cricket team as they lost the third one-day international against India to slump 3-0 down in the seven-match series.

England lost by 16 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis scoring method after bad light halted play in Kanpur today (Thursday).

England stuggles to 240 all out after batting first, Whissendine paceman Broad going for a duck when he was caught behind trying to slog Zaheer.

Ravi Bopara, who was moved up the order to open, hit 60 and Owais Shah contributed 40.

Broad claimed the wicket of Raina for one to reduce India to 34-2 in reply.

But Sehwag (68) anchored the Indians to a winning reply of 198-5 after over 40 overs to ensure victory.

Broad finished with economical figures of 1-36 from nine overs.

The fourth match in the series is in Bangalore on Sunday.
