Oakham's resurgence continued on Saturday with yet another victory to take them up to fifth spot.

Chris Larsen's men sank to the bottom of the South Lincs and Border League Division 1 table earlier in the summer but they have picked up impressively and at the weekend they beat Sleaford 2nds by 43 runs.

Sam Wills continued his brilliant run with the bat as he made 63 out of 184-8 for Oakham.

Sleaford 2nds' Rickett claimed a hat-trick to restrict the Rutlanders.

His team could not reach their target though and were bowled out for 145.

Oakham 2nds lost by 50 runs to Sleaford, who posted 232-3. Oakham 2nds replied with 182, Chris Hallam making 42.

Rutland League results:

Division 1 - Market Overton 101 lost to Godmanchester 105-2.

Division 2 - Uppingham Town 190 lost to Barnack 191-6; Bourne 99 lost to Market Deeping 100-4; Yaxley 42 (Chris Birch four wickets for seven runs) Stamford Town 45-2.
