Bell, 31, come with a wealth of high end football experience having played for Coventry City, Norwich City, Luton Town, Rushden & Diamonds and Notts County.

His move from Norwich to Coventry in January 2009, was believed to be for a fee in the region of £500,000.

Bell scored his first goal for Coventry in March, 2009 with a 45-yard strike against Doncaster at the Ricoh Arena. Other highlights during his time for the Sky Blues included scoring a goal in Coventry’s FA Cup 3rd round tie draw at Premier League club Portsmouth on January, 2, 2010.

The central midfielder made 94 appearances for the club in the Sky Bet Championship (the second tier of English football) and Sky Bet League One, scoring five goals.

Last season he played for Kings Lynn Town, captaining the side, after leaving Notts County by mutual consent in January, 2014.

Staff said: “David is a great signing. Having met him he’s still clearly motivated and can offer us so much.

“He has some great experience, and having watched him lots last season he clearly still has loads of quality in his game.

“With his location and current commitments it’s worked out well for us and I’m delighted to have him on board.”
