Deeping Rangers’ new manager Michael Goode has raided his old team for players after watching his new side lose to them in the Hinchingbrooke Cup final.
Peterborough Northern Star beat Rangers 2-1 in the final earlier this month, but three players have already left the club to join their defeated United Counties League rivals.
Matt Porter, Luke Avis and Luke Hunnings have joined Premier Division Deeping,
Goode, who took over from Tuncay Korkmaz straight after the final defeat and was there to watch the game, was one of the co-bosses controversially sacked by Star towards the end of last season.
Deeping has also secured the services of the experienced quartet of Daniel Bircham, Spencer Tinkler, David Burton-Jones and Daniel Flack for next season.
