Blackstones have wasted little time in appointing a new manager to lead the UCL Division One club.
Phil Gadsby will switch Langtoft United for Lincoln Road next season as he replaces Neil Cotton as first team manager of Blackstones.
Cotton endured a torrid time at the helm of Stones, going 22 games without a victory.
Gadsby in contrast has had a fantastic season with the Vikings, leading them to a seventh place finish in the PDFL Premier Division having taken them to promotion the season before.
A statement from Blackstones said: “The club would like to thank all who showed interest in the post and wish them all the best for the future.
“Phil has recently earned a good reputation with Langtoft United in the Peterborough & District Football League as a talented young coach.
“Phil joined Langtoft United in 2013 where he enjoyed nurturing young players through the leap from youth to adult football and is hopeful to continue this at Blackstones FC and well as attract experienced talent to restore Stones back to the top flight of the UCL.
“Phil will take charge of Blackstones FC with immediate effect and is busy assembling a new look Stones for the pre-season friendlies and the new season.
“Any interested players who would like to be part of Blackstones FC at this exciting time please contact the football club chairman Gary Peace by phone on 07979 442123 or e-mail email@example.com or the club secretary Ian Macgillivray by E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org)who will be happy to forward your details to Phil.”
