Oakham United kept the feel good feeling at the club alive on Tuesday with an extra time victory away in the Leicestershire and Rutland Senior Cup

Oakham and Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division side Ingles could not be separated in regular time, finishing 0-0 after 90 minutes.

However the Tractor Boys came to life in extra time to win 3-1 and book their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Adam Rothery has been hugely influential for Oakham in recent weeks, chipping in with some important goals from midfield and it was he who broke the deadlock in just the first minute of extra time.

Jamie Maxwell then added a second for Oakham after 103 minutes to give them some breathing room.

However Ingles were not going out without a fight and Ashley White gave them hope with a spot kick, awarded for a poor challenge by Ben Cox.

But Oakham made the result certain through Ben Easson who finished the job with a third goal on 118 minutes.
