Centre back Paul Malone has ended his short loan spell at Stamford AFC and returned to Vanarama National League North side Corby Town.
Malone returned to action with the Steelmen last week in their 0-0 draw with Nuneaton and on Saturday he started in their 4-0 loss to Stockport County. However it did not go to plan for the defender, who came to the Daniels as he tried to regain some form having missed almost 10 months of action through injury, as he was sent off on Saturday.
Malone said: “I had the couple of games at Stamford but I want to test myself and I want to play at the highest level possible.”
However Daniels manager Graham Drury has turned to another former Steelman to fill the defensive void, bringing in left back Lewis Jackson.
Jackson began his career with Mansfield Town before moving on the Chesterfield and has played for Alfreton Town, Matlock Town, Quorn and Rainers Miners Welfare.
