Billingborough First XI will be a real contenders for the South Lincolnshire & Border League title this season after coming down from the ECB Premier League.

The village side open their season on Saturday against Spalding Second XI in what will be a test of the strength of both teams while last year’s third and fourth placed sides, Lindum Ramblers and Bourne Second XI, meet at St Giles Avenue.

Last season’s runners-up Boston begin their quest for the championship with a home match against Belton Park in what is set to be a highly competitive Premier Division.

Sleaford Second XI take on Moulton Harrox, Woodhall Spa are at home to Stamford Town and Grantham start their campaign the following week.

In Division One, Welby will be looking to kick start their efforts to bounce straight back up into the Premier Division when they take on Heckington at home while newly-promoted Lindum Third XI face a tough baptism against Market Deeping Second XI, who finished fourth in 2014.

Skegness, demoted with Welby, travel to Grantham Third XI who came up into the division with Lindum and Long Sutton Second XI entertain Boston Second XI.

Division Two matches begin on April 25.
