Novices and accomplished shooters were on target at a fundraising shoot.
More than 100 people went along to support the clay pigeon shoot in Barnsdale, organised by estate agent Vernon Moore.

Two English shooters John Lee and Ed Solomon, who won £250 by blasting 39 out of 40 shots, were special guests.

Youngsters aged 10 and over were able to have their first shots under guidance and a three-man flush competition was won by the Stimson family.

The shoot is estimated to have raised £1,000 to be divided between Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, the Cottesmore Hunt and Edmondthorpe Gun Club.

Mr Moore, who organised a similar event last year, said: "There was some novice shots who did well and I think the most important thing is there were a lot of people who shot better than last year."
