Residents of Ryhall and Belmesthorpe are holding a village consultation in tandem with the playing field gala day.
The purpose of the exercise is to see if residents feel it is time for a revived and updated parish plan.
The previous village appraisal was completed in 2000.
Information collected from the event will give the committee an indication of the
community's need for a parish plan.
Locals are being invited to go along to a marquee where a three-dimensional model of the parish will be on display.
It has been made and painted by children at the village school.
Other consultation techniques will also be used on the day.
Volunteers will be on hand to discuss changes or improvements local people would like to see.
Gala day is an annual event organised by the playing fields committee.
This year funds raised on the day will help to modernise facilities in the pavilion.
Attractions include a barbecue, bar, fairground rides, cake stall, bouncy castle, plus all the usual fun and games.
The event is on Sunday August 31 at Ryhall meadows playing field between 1pm and 5pm.
People unable to get to gala day can use suggestion boxes in public buildings around the village or they can email
parish.plan@sky.com The model will also be on display in Ryhall library from Monday September 1 for one week.
If you would like to be involved in the project or volunteer to help out on gala day then contact Rachel Miller on 01780 757477.
