The beat went on for these youngsters who took part in a music and dance workshop.
The county council organised the half-term event at Exton Primary School which gave the children a chance to play instruments, including African drums.

There were also craft activities based on the theme.

Helen Pye, who organised the events said it was the first time the council had run activities during the school break.

She said: "The children had a whale of a time. If the series of workshops is a success we hope to continue it during half-term breaks next year."

Other activities during the week included fencing and judo, a circus skills workshop and an art workshop.
