A bric-a-brac sale helped raise funds towards a community trip to the production of a popular TV show.
Each year grandmother Sandra Preston (66) of Manor Green, Ketton, organises a day trip for retired residents in the village, relying on donations to make the outing possible.

In November residents will be travelling to Middlesex to the set of long-running BBC show Last of the Summer Wine, where they will be given a tour and get to see the programme being made.

On Saturday Sandra staged a sale of goods - including paintings, antiques and toys - at Manor Green, taking in more than £50 towards the £400 needed to make the trip possible.

Sandra said she would continue to raise funds in the build-up to the forthcoming trip.

She said: "We get good support from businesses, who donate money towards the day out. People in the village love the outing and we're all looking forward to this one," she said.
