CHURCH funds have been boosted by £540 following a village jumble sale.
Crowds flocked to Whissendine village hall on Saturday to snap up a bargain from the stalls of books, cakes, toys and bric a brac in aid of St Andrew's Church.

Organiser Alex Molds said: "I'd like to thank everyone who made it a successful day.

"We had great support from the helpers and shoppers and all the money raised will go towards the upkeep of our beautiful church."
