School to get refurbished thanks to fete
A school fete raised £2,200 for refurbishments to the building.
The sun was shining and crowds flocked to the barbecue and stalls at Casterton Business and Enterprise College on Wednesday evening.
And staff were certainly grateful for the warm weather as many had willingly volunteered to have water thrown at them in the stocks by their students.
The fete also included a tug of war between members of staff at the college, a car boot sale, tombola and a raffle with a top prize of £100. An auction also had a glider flight and rock climbing experience on offer.
College spokeswoman Jackie Stafford was pleased with the turnout. She said: "We were really lucky that the weather held out for the fete."
