A village community has resurrected its patronal feast week for the first time in more than 50 years.
South Luffenham hosts the event from tomorrow night which includes a packed programme of events.
The theme for the event is the Shepherd's Calendar which pays homage to rural life and is a must for anyone who loves the English countryside.

ganiser Christine Payne said: "It is the first time in over 50 years that the village has celebrated the patronal feast. One of the highlights will be the Mellstock Band who are playing in Rutland for the first time.
"They are internationally acclaimed and have appeared in many film and television productions including Pride and Prejudice. They play unique old English instruments.
"If you enjoy the English countryside then the festival week is a must."

Friday August 15Art exhibition including the work of local artists Tony Wass and Peter Barker at St Mary's Church from 7pm.
Peter is now considered one of the leading British wildlife artists. Floral arrangements to complement the paintings have been executed by Chelsea Medal winners.
The exhibition continues over the weekend but tickets are available for the Friday exclusive evening at £5 which includes a glass of wine, canapés and musical accompaniment by Louise Nicholls.
Monday August 18Teas at the post office in the village hall from 2.15pm onwards.
Wednesday, August 20Family treasure hunt at the village hall from 6.30pm. The cost is £1 per adult and 50p for children. No booking is needed.
Friday August 22 The Mellstock Band at St Mary's Church from 7.15pm for 8pm. Tickets cost £10 (£8 for under 16s) from (01780) 722122, (01780) 722414 ir (01780) 721542.
Saturday August 23Family rounders on the parish field at 4.30pm and a hog roast from 6.30pm.
