An emergency medical team from St George's Barracks who arrived complete with stretchers and bandages were a huge hit when they visited a Rutland nursery.
The team from North Luffenham had been invited to Keeper's Cottage Nursery in Ketton to talk to the children about the work they carry out as part of a topic the three to five year old group have been working on, entitled 'people who help us.'

The medics arrived in an ambulance, rapid response vehicle and emergency motorbike and came into the nursery building on Luffenham Road where they soon had adults on stretchers and children wrapped in bandages as they explained their vital roles.

Then despite the rain, the group of children, staff and visitors went outside where all those who wanted to, were able to sit on the motorcycle and turn on the siren; and to mark a very memorable and informative day they had their picture taken as well.

Jess Hamblett, deputy manager of the nursery said: "The children had a fantastic day and our thanks to the emergency team for coming to see us."
