Organisers of the first Stamford Party in the Park are promising four days of entertainment when all the fun of the fair starts on Wednesday (October 7).
Rides such as the Cyclone, Dodgems and Roll Over will join an assortment of children’s favourites at the family event which is being expanded this year with entertainment on the Friday and Saturday.
Friday (October 9) will see a craft tent for visitors to browse and look round, while on the Saturday (October 10) there will be children’s entertainment and a dog display and fun dog show!
Organiser Ashley Wood whose family have been bringing rides to Stamford for decades said: “This year we wanted to do something a bit different to make the four days in the town a bit more of an
occasion with something more for the families to enjoy.
“This is the first time we have done anything like this here and we hope that the public will come out and enjoy the free entertainment and next year if it is popular we will make it bigger and better!”
The event will be open weekdays on Stamford Recreation Ground from 5pm and Saturday from 12pm.
There is plenty of parking available and admission is free.
