Oakham Town Partnership has erected a new sign on the northern end of the Oakham bypass to encourage passing drivers to divert into the town and visit Oakham Castle.
The castle reopened at the end of May after a £2.1m Heritage Lottery funded redevelopment.
Chairman of Oakham Town Partnership Debbie Oakes said: “We on the partnership are very keen to support the re-opening of Oakham Castle which we consider to be the focal point of our charming market town.
“We support the endeavours of Rutland County Council and Oakham Town Council. It is to everyone’s advantage that more visitors come to our town.”
