Public invited to hear how health services are run in East Leicestershire and Rutland

People in East Leicestershire and Rutland are invited to attend the next governing body meeting of NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which plans and pays for many NHS healthcare services in the Melton and Rutland areas.

The meeting will take place on January 19, starting at 9.30am, at Leicester Racecourse and Conference Centre, Oadby.

The body meets once every two months and members of the public are always welcome. Everyone who attends will have an opportunity to ask questions and hear about the latest developments in the area.

It is comprised of elected GP members, a secondary care clinician and lead nurse, independent lay members, representatives of Healthwatch and senior managers.

Dr Richard Palin, chair of NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG, said: “We look forward to welcoming patients and the public to our January meeting. These meetings are an ideal opportunity for local people to hear how we are working to improve health services in East Leicestershire and Rutland.

“Patients are at the heart of everything we do and our commitment is to commission high quality, value for money health services for local people, based on patient experience and local feedback.”
