A fundraising group is bringing back a summer day of family fun to give people a free event to look forward to in the school holidays.
Stamford and District Kiwanis will return to Burghley House for the Stamford Family Fun Day on Sunday, August 9.
The group held the event last year after a hiatus of several years, and the day was a success despite a downpour on the day.
This year even more is planned. The event will be packed with interactive workshops, entertainment and sports for the whole family.
Kiwanis member and event organiser Tony Gowers said “This year’s plans are well under way and even more adventurous than before. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest developments – but put a note in your diary to be there.”
Entrance and parking is free, and those attending can take part in plenty of different workshops and activities, all for no charge. Activities include learning a musical instrument, a beginner’s golf session, skills of a magician, photography, circus skills and more.
There will also be a full programme of entertainment on stage, including performances from local band Fully Loaded, Pineapple Dance Studio’s teacher Winston and R’n’B artist Static. Alongside these performances will be local groups including Welland School of Dance, Wildcats Academy and One Touch Football.
Anyone who wants to get involved with a workshop, put on a performance or exhibit a trade stand go www.kiwanisfunday.uk for more information.
