Two Oakham Swim School lifeguards have visited eight primary schools in Rutland as part of the national Drowning Prevention Week campaign.
The initiative, which ran from June 15 to 22, gave children essential life-saving skills in the run up to the school summer holidays.
Andy Balmford and Rhys Smith, both Swim School instructors, said: "It was great to visit so many local schools and engage with the children.
"Teaching youngsters to be safe in the water, is an essential life skill."
Assistant headmaster at Brooke Priory School Roger Outwin-Flinders said: "The visit was fantastic."
