Your News: Championship success for Rutland Trampoline Club
Eighty children from the Rutland Trampoline Club took part in the Rutland and Leicestershire Trampoline Championships last month.
This year it was hosted at Catmose College Sports Centre thanks to funding from the Rutland County Council Sport, Leisure and Community Facilites Grant and Loan Scheme, which enabled the club to buy another trampoline, replace three trampoline beds, a set of end decks, two double wedge mats and a somersault twisting belt (to further our high fliers).
Rutland Trampoline Club came away with 36 medals: Eight golds, 13 silvers and 15 bronze.
The children entering ranged from 6 years to 17 years entering in categories TPD, entry, level 1, level 2, level 3 , level 4 and synchronised.
Nine of our children who train at Ashwell as part of Aiming High have either physical or learning difficulties - and came away with gold or silver medals!
Some of our members have only joined within the last couple of months - 6 of these also came away with medals!
Every child representing the Rutland Club made us extremely proud on the day - they are a hard working , committed, encouraging, friendly and fun team to work with.
