Your News: Rutland Stroke Club grateful for community support
The Rutland Stroke Club has benefitted from two kind donations.
On Saturday, November 15, in the Catmose Club, the entertainment was provided by the ever popular Lesley and she kindly waived her fee for the night in order that the Rutland Stroke Club would benefit from her generosity. An amount of £400 was later presented to Eileen and chairman Jackie Gregory.
On Thursday, December 11, Christmas lunch was enjoyed by Rutland Stroke Club members, at the Railway Inn, followed by a further presentation of £420 from Ray and Maysie Hibbitt.
A huge thank you to Lesley the entertainer and Ray and Maysie from the Catmose Club and its members, who have worked tirelessly over many years to raise money for local charities, of which we are fortunate enough to be one of them.
Jackie Gregory said: “Your hard work helps us to continue to support our members.
“Please note, that the new club venue is in St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church meeting room on Station Road, Oakham.
“Our next meeting is on Thursday, February 5, and times are exactly the same as previously.
“Thank you once again.”
