Peterborough League side aim to continue to thrive
Ketton Football Club has launched a sponsorship drive in a bid to continue its progression.
The Pit Lane club has established itself in the Peterborough League Premier Division following their promotion at the end of the 2014/15 season.
They finished in 11th place last season and, with a new management team in place, have set their sights on a rise up the rankings.
And chairman Stephen Pearce is appealing for the backing of local businesses to help Ketton to continue to thrive.
He said: “Ketton FC has provided football for the local community since 1987 and, in that time, the club has grown and developed significantly.
“We will start the 2018/19 season with two senior men’s teams, boys youth teams and our first ever ladies team.
“We are committed to offering great facilities as well as a welcoming environment for both our players as well as visitors.
“We enjoy solid support from local people and have a good footfall of players, parents and supporters at our clubhouse.
!The club strives to provide the best possible environment in order to allow our young players to enjoy their football, develop their skills and hopefully progress to the senior teams and beyond.
“However, this progression requires significant investment in our facilities, equipment and administration. As a result of this we are looking for local companies that would like to get involved with the club.”
The club is looking for businesses who would be interested in advertising on new pitch side boards.
The cost of these boards is £175 for the first season (this covers production, delivery and hanging) and £100 a season after that.
They already have a number of sponsors on board and reserve team boss Matt Holdup was thankful for their contribution.
Holdup said: “We would like to thank all those who sponsored Ketton Football Club for the 2017/18 season.
“Their support has helped to stabilise the club day-to-day while allowing us to improve our facilities and offer our players and the local community a fantastic place to play football.
“We hope all of our sponsors will be with us for the upcoming season and anyone else who is interested we encourage them to get in touch via our email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we can send them all the details.
“We would also like to thank our fellow sports clubs at Ketton, in particular Ketton Sports Cricket Club who in the last 12months we have worked closely with and together worked towards the common goal of making Ketton Sports as a whole one of the best clubs in the area. Your help and support hasn’t and will not go unnoticed so thank you.”
