Ketton lost their last six wickets without scoring a run as they slipped to a six-wicket defeat at home to Foxton on Saturday in a Cambs Division One.

Ajaz Akhtar top scored with 14 in Ketton’s 48.

Will Compton (3-23) at least made Foxton work for their win.

The remarkable start to the season of Nassington’s Dan Robinson continued at Wisbech.

The opener carried his bat for 122 of Nassington’s 239-9 at Harecroft Road. Robinson has now claimed two tons and one half century in four Division One innings at an average in excess of 112.

It was also a second unbeaten century in seven days for Robinson against Wisbech as he finished 101 not out in a Rutland Division One match last weekend (May 3). He has now passed 500 runs for the season in all competitions.

Robinson’s efforts weren’t enough to set up a win this week as Wisbech recovered from 86-7 to 175-7 to claim a draw, Jamie Gollands (55no) and Tom Meyrick (33no) put on an unbroken eighth-wicket stand of 89 to defy the spin skills of young Harrison Craig (2-19).

Earlier Tom Norman (45) offered most batting support to Robinson. Gary Freear (6-48) bowled best for Wisbech.
